Shonishin is a non-invasive, non-needle, and painless technique that involves tapping and brushing along the meridians and acupuncture points. Shonishin treats children from newborn to 10 years old. At these ages, the meridian system is close to the skin and easy to access. Because of this, children respond very well to treatment. Parents can see immediate results while participating in their children’s healing process. Shonishin is an essential treatment modality for children in Japan. It is used for acute and chronic conditions as well as to build constitutional strength and prevent disease. In fact, there is a tradition where children receive Shonishin treatments on the full moon. During this time, the universe is so full of energy, and the meridians are especially receptive to a wellness treatment!
